The Best Ayurvedic Homemade Hair Care Oil
Ingredients:
- Bhringraj oil – 15 ml
- Brahmi Tailam (medicated sesame oil) – 10 ml
- Coconut oil (cold-pressed) – 15 ml
- Castor oil – 5 ml
- Amla (Indian gooseberry) oil – 10 ml
- Lavender or Rosemary essential oil – 3–4 drops (optional for calming aroma)
Method of Preparation:
Mix all the oils in a clean glass bottle. Shake well to blend thoroughly. Slightly warm the oil before each use for better absorption. Apply it generously to the scalp and along the length of the hair. Massage gently in circular motions for 5–10 minutes. Leave it on for at least twenty minutes. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo.
This Ayurvedic hair oil blend is a potent solution for reducing hair fall, stimulating growth, delaying premature greying, and nourishing both scalp and hair shafts. According to Dr. Varun Ram Raj, one of India’s most respected Ayurvedic doctors, this combination strengthens the hair roots, improves blood circulation to the scalp, and revitalizes dull, lifeless hair.
Personalized Dosha Adjustments:
- For Vata hair type (dry, brittle): Add more coconut oil and a few drops of almond oil.
- For Pitta hair type (greying, thinning): Increase Brahmi and Amla oil, and avoid heating the oil too much.
- For Kapha hair type (oily, heavy): Use less coconut oil and more Bhringraj or Brahmi oil.
Use 2–3 times a week for naturally thick, shiny, and healthy hair - without synthetic chemicals or side effects.
Let Ayurveda nurture your crown, strand by strand.
Stay healthy always!
